How about a 40 foot high food truck? Or a 120 foot long former ski jump to nowhere? Streets are blocked already.
My fiance’s Parking spot at the lot served by Wells Fargo will cost her $100 a day for the 5 weekdays leading up to the Super Bowl She’s being told not to bother even attempting the weekend.
I think I'm going to Ignore the Super Bowl this year... Seriously
I am not knowing what this supper bowl event you are talking about. Is it a buffet?

The past few years I’ve been angering family and friends by sharing Superb Owl facts during the game. After a day of drinking they don’t find it as funny as I do.
Objection: Title is redundant.
In reply to Wally :
I will be sharing Wally's Facebook facts all day.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone is above it, nobody watches it, but it's the most-watched TV program every single year.
Yes, I'll be watching.

I think frenchyd is just annoyed because it's Minneapolis again and it's berkeleying up the already atrocious winter commute and parking situation that is Minnesota.
The only reason I watch it is because my brother throws a Superbowl party for my daughter every year. I could honestly give two E36 M3s about it.
Haye it for the city its in. Even more of an issue for the residents than the president coming to town.

Try working for the company who’s name is on the stadium. We have a chance freeze in place during the week leading up to it. Not a big deal, except for the recent Intel vulnerability which is becoming a mess to try and sort out.
Luckily, I don’t live or work in the area, but I’m in IT, so I get to be online “in case anything happens” and they need a fast response to any issues. Needless to say, I’ll be streaming anything else and biding my time.
At least I’ll get OT for it, so I’ll have that going for me....
I've ignored the NFL all year, that weekend won't be a challenge.
I find it amusing that without actually looking it up, I have no idea what weekend it will be.

I have a stated goal every year of not knowing when it is, who played, who won, or what the score was. I've been doing this for a decade, and I have never succeeded.

I actually don't care for football, but what I do like is cheese dip. This is the one time of the year I can eat a crock pot of cheese dip as a meal and not feel like an outcast.
Who am I rooting for in the big game? Cheese dip, that's who.

I've watched it exactly zero times in my life! In fact I've watched exactly three girly hand egg games in my life. Lions and UofM once each live and some kind of Bowl game UofM were in on TV once. Still don't understand the appeal.
Edit, hang on, correction. I was at a party about 20 years ago in Florida where it was on in the background. Someone handed me some paper with squares on and numbers. I paid $20 and picked two at random. I stopped drinking long enough to watch the half time ads then went back to partying when the lame restarted. I walked out of the party with over $200 for picking some numbers I didn't understand though!

I've been a lifelong football fan but this year I'm in the same boat as you. It's not due to any political reasons or anything like that. I think it's because I'm a long way from home and I can't get any games I care about locally and My family and friends I used to watch games with are over a thousand miles away. I haven't seen a single game this year.
I may watch the game but likely won't. I have no idea who's playing.
Only way I'll see any of it is if someone throws a superbowl party and invites me. Last one I went to a few years ago was entertaining because one guy was way too invested in it and was getting all worked up And there was Left Shark.

I know the date of the game since it is impacting some construction work for a project I have been working on for a couple of years at a power plant. The whole week leading up to the game we are pretty well shutdown just because nobody wants a repeat of the time in New Orleans when the power went out during the game and left everyone sitting around in the dark for a while.

Dude, thats dinner at my house a dew times a month. Ain't nothing wrong with it.
Ill watch it, then again i watch pro football about every weekend. I can understand how the prep and game itself make a mess of whatever city hosts.
I'm more of a Puppy Bowl fan. They've got a Corgi AND and Shiba Inu in the mix this year!

It’s the weekend between the Rolex 24 and NASCAR Speedweeks like every year.
Damn straight I'll watch the Superbowl! You know why? Cause Merika that's why.
I enjoy football. I enjoy violence. I enjoy spectacle. I enjoy getting together with friends, and partaking in gluttony. I've watched every Superbowl since Terry Bradshaw was playing....no reason to skip one now.
And Adrian......it's amusing to hear about our "girly" game. Please tell me again how "manly" your soccer is......those brave tough guys......flopping around on the ground like someone cut off their leg......oh no.....just a hangnail, or less. You don't like football......great. I don't like soccer, but I can appreciate the drama and spectacle of the World Cup.
The Superbowl also brings in hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue for the host city. Yes, it's a pain in the ass, but it fills those city / county / state coffers unlike anything besides the Olympics.
Careful now. Adrian might be a Rugby fan. You know, the guys that play almost the same game but without the suits of armor so they don't get a boo, boo.
(Ironically of course. Football players do far more serious damage to themselves because of their suits of armor)
