Oddly enough, our sleepy little meth-infested hamlet of Daytona has a surprisingly strong local comedy community. My comedy friend Zach Bennett, my lovely wife and myself shot this little video recently which has found its way onto FunnyOrDie. We'd be much obliged if you gave it a look and ESPECIALLY if you clicked the "funny" button.

It's actually a parody of a creepy video that went viral back in the summer (this one)

Hopefully whatever creepy apocalypse cult made the original has a good sense of humor. We'll probably all get murdered, but before we do we'd like to get a few thousand views.

Thanks.

The birds in the background were priceless.

Without committing a spoiler, let me say that it reminded me of Galaxy Quest, in a good way.

Some of my funnest memories are from hitting the comedy clubs in my younger days. I agree, people need to support their local comedy clubs.

That static sound is actually a cockatoo scream that's been pitch shifted and ring modulated. Easier than making it from scratch :)

It was a bit tame for the beginning but then I did laugh out loud at the very last scene. If I hadn't been committed to watching it I probably would have ADD clicked away before it got funny. I dunno how you skip the setup for the end though.

I love good comedy.. one of my Jobs here at the Borgata is running the lights for our Comedy Club in the smaller theatre. If you are ever in the area, it's $20 a ticket and unless there is a headline act in the 'box, it will be on from 9 till 10:30pm... we have something in that room every day but christmas
