I’ve been before but didn’t go this year.
Wow. That's certainly something.
This is the sort of thing I hope gets dug up thousands of years from now and they finally give up trying to understand society from this time period.
Swampfest scares the E36 M3 out of me. Like...I love trey for what he does for bmx. But berkeley me that event....is unhinged.
I didn't watch the whole video, but the cameraman didn't show the long line of waiting ambulances that I assume are standing by....
In reply to JG Pasterjak :
OMG, it was nuts when I last went. Pretty crazy during the day–like, if you got hurt, you were on your own–but once it got dark, everything was set on fire.
At one point, we were standing there in the middle of the chaos. A bunch of dudes flipped a van on its side, people were riding into the crowds, and Roman candles were landing near us.
Incoming!
We were stone sober and just taking it in. Then we were like, This is nuts.
When I left, I passed the firetrucks.
Somewhere I have some video.

The mortars and the roman candles are the big reason I don't go. I've never been on fire, but I don't imagine I'd enjoy it and I DEFINITELY don't want to find out hours away from the nearest burn unit.
