I saw, for a quick second a build thread for either a model T or A that was VERY cool. I think it had a modern engine painted green like the old flathead, and it had aluminum wheels that, when painted looked like wooden spoke wheels. Did I see that link here? I can't find it again.

Model A. Had a rally Euro Ford engine in it. Owned by a Rally driver. Featured in Hot Rod ~2 years ago.

You're probably thinking of the supercharged Cosworth-powered '29 Model A done by Finnish madmen Makela Auto Tuning.

Total beast. They even put in sound effects to make it sound like an old engine. Then he hits the loud pedal and it flies. I believe it is in Holland.
Just google "sweet model T & A". That should get you some good stuff.
I'd love to have a pickup roadster version of that.
The "sound effect" was accomplished by doing something with the ignition. I think they had the thing skipping every second cylinder, or something to make it sound like an old motor.

Not as much as you'd think.
Hokey smokes - nice little shop they've got going there!
There is a cheater model A engine available. Full pressure oil with full flow filter, counter balanced crank etc.
I've seen several at car shows.

I was thinking about one where the dude had allow wheels made to look just like wood-spoke wheels. Is this the one? I'm not seeing the pictures I am remembering.

Model A's never had wooden wheels, not that the rest of the car is historically accurate.

Yup, this is the right car. Those wheels aren't wood (and neither are stock Model A wheels as pointed out, but it just makes the car soooooooo cool!).

Wood wheels wouldn't last long on that car. Nor would wire spokes.

This is not the T and A thread I was hoping for.
I prefer this Model T-GT for the moment :

Makela auto tuning, yet another reason why Finland is so cool ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/cool-18.png)
