I too got 5/6 it was the 4runner that got me.

Here is the full list but note that the 2010 list is not complete yet.

The contest above listed the Fusion as 55% but for 2010 it drops down to 25%

6/6. I didn't know where the 4runner was built, but knew the Nissan was built here. Figured I might get tagged on parts content, but got lucky.

I found the US employment figure at the bottom interesting.

There is one major problem with the whole CNN report and quiz. It is stating percentages of US content in a vehicle. That is incorrect. The percentages that the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin provide for vehicles are percentages of "domestic" content which includes both US and Canada. There are no figures available that separate out Canadian parts.

6/6, but I figured the 4Runner wasn't US built due to its popularity in Australia. The Silverado was kinda a trick question, but it's explained in the answer.

2/6, having no interest in new cars, I don't really pay attention to where they are made.

Silverados are also built in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Oshawa, Ontario is closing (the Canadian Silverado plant), and soon, light trucks will be built alongside the few remaining Chevy HD trucks at Flint, Michigan.

Edit: And Pontiac, Michigan builds Silverados. But not for much longer (like this month).
