Yep. That's an HKS SSQV mounted to some Autozone crush bent exhaust piping.

Probably a Chinese knockoff of the ssqv too... "but they come down the same line in Cali, one gets the logo an the other doesn't...". Riiiight

at least it isn't mounted to a piece of flex pipe with a couple of hose clamps..

if you think that's cheesy, just wait until i get around to making the side exit exhaust for my camaro- i found some Dynomax turbo mufflers with the inlet and outlet on the same side of the case, so i'm gonna have the pipe go in and then come back out to a pipe that is bent back towards the rear tire with a NASCAR style square exit on each side.. the grassroots part come with the 2.5" exhaust heat riser valves that i'm going to hook up to bypass the mufflers and go straight to the outlets for when i feel like being loud.. i'm gonna operate them with an inline electric vacuum switch from a late 80's GM egr valve that is activated by either a dash switch for always open or by a throttle switch to flip them open when i go WOT.. some newer Corvettes have a similar system built into the mufflers, so it's really more of a homage to the Vette than anything.. i figure with the X pipe it will sound wicked at WOT, even if it's just a stock LT1..
