Well this is what I ended up with:

Lenovo G50, 1TB hard drive, 4GB Ram (I added another 4GB), DVD-RW, AMD A8 2.00 Ghz Quad core processor.

A little overkill for what I need, but a new laptop with for $269, I couldn't pass it up.

I am also pleased with Windows 10, I'm glad its much more similar to Win 7 than 8.
