Started my day today by cleaning out my work van. Pulled up to a dumpster at work, took my tool bag out, and cleaned house after a busy week last week.

Hopped back in the van, heard a clunk and a scrape while backing out, and stopped. Hopped out to see what was amiss, and a helpful passer by said "You just backed over your tool bag. And you left the back doors open."

What a helpful man!

So I'll be tool bag shopping this week (drug it about six feet) as well as buying some new screw drivers.

How is your Monday going?

Monday is just another day of the week when you have the possibility of working any or all of the other days listed.....

In general, all days suck.

The baby, who shouldn't be here until later tonight, showed up last night with an ear infection. She slept, but decided we needed to wake up at 6am. This also means all plans for today before she came over are now pushed to friday or more likely next monday, because no one will let me put the car seat in the miata for some stupid reason and places I need to go aren't open on the weekends. There's no passenger airbag, it's ok is my logic.

I'm still sore all over from hurling yesterday, and I need a 2-hour nap, but there's too much work that has to be done by Wednesday, and then more that has to happen by the end of the week. And busy weeks at work ALWAYS correspond to weeks I have an autocross on Saturday. ALWAYS.

I'm at work today!

So much better than yesterday. Went clothes shopping with my wife and two daughters. I have never seen a grocery cart full of clothes being brought into a changing room. Shoot me!!!

My daughter spent her infant automotive years in the Miata in a baby-seat. She seems like a well adjusted woman despite that depravity.

My FIL considered the Miata to be a deathtrap and exposure to any fresh air to be a source of pneumonia.

Favorite line at about age four as we left my in-laws house one sunny February day..."Grampa cant see us now, can we put the top down?"

ASUS motherboards? Microsoft released a UEFI related patch recently that is causing issues with ASUS motherboards. Its a known issue and ASUS asked Microsoft to hold off on releasing the patch, but obviously that didn't work out.

Thursday nights are my Monday, tonight is my Friday. Really, there is no set day or time when that E36 M3 sandwich shows up. It's all relative.

I've worked schedules like that, they can be ok sometimes.

I got handed an $1100 labor claim because Melling now uses powdered metal gears in their oil pumps instead of steel, surprise! The engine it almost took out is in a 91 Syclone...

Let's see, today I got up at 10:30, spent half an hour grooming my hipster beard to perfection, took a shower, made coffee in a stovetop moka pot & decided to hard-boil all my remaining eggs, did all the accumulated dishes in the sink while I was waiting, and swept off my balcony. Now it's quarter to 2 and I figure I'm not to go into my office today, so instead I'm going out to order wheel bolts so I can fit my summer wheels & tyres and get the ingredients to make a really good looking salad that I saw online. I'll work from home this afternoon.

Yes, I have a job.

Could very well be ASUS based, especially for tablets. Even then, there have been a lot of updates and patches lately that could cause weird issues for desktops and laptops.

Sorry man, I feel your pain. We had a bug in an XP image that we didn't know about for many years and Microsoft released a patch that caused about 3000 systems to bluescreen constantly. Had the CIO come to our cubicles and scream at us about the problem (he later apologized, but my lead who took the brunt of it said he saw Satan in the CIO's eyes). So yeah, that's scary and frustrating.
