The Schwarber story is fantastic--- seems like a really good kid too. I'm also getting a kick out of how Lindor and Baez have been giving each other the business. It's a good example of sportsmanship--- those guys are the closest of friends, and it's obvious---even though they are both battling like Hell to beat one another. It's been fun so far--- I can only imagine what the scene in Wrigleyville will be like. Chicago has been waiting to host a World Series game for a long.....long time.
I heard it was a $100 cover just to get into the Cubby Bear, and $500 to sit at at table--- or something crazy like that. Looks like the true fans---well at least those without big $$ to spend--- will be watching from home.

Can't really blame the bars. Cubby Bear had a $100 cover for the Dodgers series, and they were basically at capacity.
I'm trying to get a ticket for tomorrow--got a budget of $2000. Seems insane, but 8 year old me would KILL 26 year me if he knew that I had the money to do this and didn't. And I can't disappoint 8 year old me.

Do ettt! It's expensive, but it's also an experience you'll never forget. I'd head back to Chicago to at least watch one of the games in a bar with my friends---- but we're off to the SEMA show next week. Hopefully I'll be able to hook up with a few Chicago peeps out there to take the games in.
Can't blame the bars, but I will vilify them.
I went to college with Zobrist, he was friends with one of my good friends who also played on the baseball team. He is a good dude! Glad this has worked out so well for him, he didn't plan on playing even at the college level and had given up on baseball before he was scouted at a try out after high school.
Been trying to get my eight year old amped up to watch this game all day. No dice.
Feel like a traditional Cubs fan again. Nail biting and sweating every minute.

I'm just glad it's going into game 6. A 5 game series is just sad, unless you are rooting for the winning team.
7 to 0 in the third. Are you kidding me?
Come on Tribe!
Don't think it's happening tonight

I called it in 7, still believe that's happening. Kluber is a beast. I was outside the park in the 2nd but went up east 9th, got some ribs from an old man with a grill made from an old oil tank on his trailer, and came home.
Also, joe buck creams his pants every time schwarber comes to the plate
Never made it up for Game 6. Got an offer I couldn't refuse to buy the tickets. It's good though, I'd be kind of depressed to have flown up just for that.
I'm gonna go ahead in the middle of the ninth and call this a Cubs win. Seven runs should be safe. Right? Right?

And when kluber pitches.
As a cub fan I cannot stand the guy. I mute it and put on radio.

I do the same here.
Download the mlb at bat app. For $3 for a month, you get the local feed and you can pause it. It is usually a little bit behind the tv feed, but we can pause that too to sync them up.

I just mute it, I'm watching it so I don't need no stinking play by play.

Yeah, but Pat Hughes is just too good not to listen to.
Pretty intense game so far. Glad I don't have a dog in the fight.
I quit, gotta work early.
Ugh. I was extremely optimistic, but that is falling fast.
