Prompted by the new movie, old Green Hornet TV series are being shown on SciFi.
A very young Bruce Lee. Watch the [lack of] technology! You guys that grew up with a cell-text in your hand may have trouble comprehending a world without it.

hey, my family got all hot and bothered when the first 8 bit nintendo replaced dads older atari. I can appreciate pre-cellular tech
And they think putting a shade over a camera lens makes us think it's night.
Well, it was 1960 something. The flight to the moon in 1969's computer was 4 gig. My nano music thingie the size of a book of matches is 8 gig. Time and technology march on, but Kado's still a kickass dude.

I think it was only around 74kb of memory.
I still like those TV shows from the 1960s, though. They were what I grew up on.

Yeah it was only 74kb and most was not available to write anyway. I doubt there was 4 gig of computer memory being used on the entire planet at the time.
Heck there are even instructions out there for you to build your own lunar lander computer. http://www.galaxiki.org/web/main/_blog/all/build-your-own-nasa-apollo-landing-computer-no-kidding.shtml
going to see the movie tonight, won some advance screening passes from the radio station.
looks fun, and i am going in trying to forget everything i know about the green hornet from watching it when i was little on reruns.
the movie was.....
AWESOME
had a great time, fun will be had by all. if you do not have fun at it between the action, humor, bad guys, and car stuff, then you need to get your funectomy reversed.

QFTW !!
My son wants to see it -- so I think a screening is in order. I don't mind remakes when they are clever . . .

4 Meg, according to Fred Haise.
with any luck I'll be seeing it on sunday with a friend of mine, pleased to know it's a properly good movie. neither my friend or I have had a funectomy so we should be alright
In the new one, he drives a resto-mod Black Beauty, which is pretty sweet.
That said, doubtful I'll see the movie.

Does the term "rope memory" mean anything to you?
Making 4 gigs of that would probably take 15 zillion quadrillion years...
On the subject of Green Hornet TV shows, I've been enjoying them in order thanks to my DVR and SyFy. I don't know if I'm just wearing memory glasses, but I didn't seem to have a problem with them when I was 6 or 8. Now I'm just amazed how something that's 19 minutes long (5 minutes of which is stock footage), has 7 characters (at least 5 of which appear in every episode), and maybe 2 plot steps can be so hard to follow.
They are still full of awesome, though.
