One of the taxis that take people around nurburgring spun out and wrecked with customers in the car. Do M5s not have airbags in germany? I would think that crash would've popped the airbags.

You mean that even beginning drifters wouldn't be able to save that slide like the YouTube commenter said?

It wasn't much of a frontal as much as it was the car spun and the nose was the part that smeared the wall. The nose barely nudged itself inwards and the hood didn't look buckled at all. Not airbag-worthy.

If you look at any ring video's, the taxi likes to drift that corner a great deal to give the passengers a thrill. Looks like the driver goofed on the drift.

It seems like they got power oversteer on the exit, and the front tires didn't have enough grip to correct due to the crest.
I think its one of those times where you can do it right 99.9999999% of the time, but that last little bit can still be wrong
I swear I've seen that specific corner (a lot) on those ring-crashes videos. I'm guessing either that crest catches you unaware or you get careless and have a little too much fun with it?

that's where I have seen it as well.
Yeah, the car got light and lost grip, not enough room to catch it, although he/she tried; early on you can see the front wheels turned to the left but unsuccessfully. In many cases it can be brought back through a combination of sheer luck and sheer luck, in this case I don't think he had enough sheer luck.
Oh, but the mad tyte drift boyz y0 commenters got it all figgered out, they could have saved that 5,000 pounds (including passengers) from this with their tyte supermagical tire smoking SKILLZ! !1!!!1111!!!!

Didn't read or watch yet, but I've deduced that the commments sections of any web page are utterly useless/worthless and uncover VAST stupidity/ignorance in this country. It's literally unsettling.
I'm assuming the sentiment echoes that a Ring Taxi driver doesn't know how to drive.
