Just saw this online: Back in the day, X played at my student center. Dang, missed it by just a few years.

Totally.
Just saw this one, too, from the same year. I lived in the dorm next to Legion Field. (I did see Pylon and The B-52's there, so no complaints.)

How did this only get one upvote?
To the title proposition: I've learned what a dead groundhog cooking under an exhaust manifold looks and smells like. Also that vultures find it really fast when it's put on a tree stump in that state. I've learned what 3500lbs of dog poop in plastic bags looks like and that teargas filters on a gas mask do a good job of filtering out the smell. I've learned what 40 year old carpet in a garage that floods looks and smells like.
So many things I'd rather never have learned.
When I was a kid I saw homespun signs on local telephone poles for a concert at Pasadena Highschool for some band no one had heard of called Van Halen. A bit later I learned that i shoulda asked my maw n paw to lemme go see em.
And right now I'm learning what the county health department can do to my shop building plan permit application. "We don't like the look of your sand filter, replace it or no permit for you, no we don't care that your shop has no plumbing"
