Looking for a couple of ideas for things to do in the Dallas area, for a car guy. Girlfriend has the none car, train....attractions covered. So I am on the hunt for attractions for a car guy, not necessarily cars, but stuff the appeals to people like us.
Will be there for a wedding on a Saturday in March so we are going to make a mini vacation out of it, looking for mid week things to do.
Thanks
Steve
I know there is an indoor karting track up there somewhere.
Not sure about car related stuff, but I had a couple of hours to kill last time there and somehow ended up here for lunch

Dallas has an epic outdoor kart track that you can rent karts that do 65+.
Frisco Cars N Coffee is the first Sat of the month and is impressive at 2000 cars.
Eagles canyon raceway runs a free drivers day following most of the Cars N Coffee events about 30min north of the event.
RUFF has a dealership there - Nuff said.
The DFW Euros crew does a cool euro car drivein most wed nights.
The DFW Autoclub meets for coffee every Sat morning in Frisco.
A pals shop restores vintage Lotus F1 racers. Total car porn with John Player Edition paint jobs.
Good city for gear heads... Lived there a few years and expect to be back in a few more.

On the tourist front the JFK book observatory is pretty cool. There are a handful of nice musuems as well if the weather nasty. The Deep Ellum brewery is worth a visit as well.
