I once saw a shot of some cars at a software company with a whole bunch of funny personalized plates, one of them was "RTFM"
Best one I ever saw was actually in C&D in the early 80s. New Jersey plate with state name at the top, and the "Garden State" motto at the bottom. Tag was "IS NOT A".

For years my buddy had "puke" as his plate in Ohio. That was his nickname (can't remember why). Then after having it for something like 12 years, he went to buy registration stickers for it and they told him they wouldn't renew it. He figured political correctness was the thing that did it in.
I saw a guy with 4Q on his plate. DMV here obviously didn't say it out loud, but it also made me want to key his car. And I'm a nice guy.

Mildly off topic, but you'll get the connection in a sec. My brother is a police dispatcher, and one of the funniest people I know. He is constantly berking with his officers. One of the officers on duty called his cell to get some info for a ticket he was writing. When he asked to repeat the tag number, my brother said "Island Mary 4, Paul Nora Sam". It took the officer a second for it to click, then got pissed because he had to rewrite the ticket lol.

Anything with RX in it is denied by Ohio, too.
