I have been unemployed for 7 days now. Not even long enough to start to enjoy it. I just got a call and am out the door to talk to my new employer.
Lets just say the stuff I will be wrenching on will be a far cry different than what I was doing as a millwright.
More info when I return.
Wow... Sweet. Good news for everybody and hopefully me in 2 weeks.
They are calculating their offer. It looks like I will be working between these two sister businesses.

I hope to spend much more time on the restoration side than the service bit. There was an Abarth 750 Zagato double bubble AND an Abarth Alemano 1000 in the bay with a couple of Packards just now.
Looks like I need to clear out most of the 3/4" drive sockets and 1 3/8" and up wrenches from the tool chest. I will be happy to not need them anymore.
Fantastic! Man, I wish I had the skills to work on vintage stuff.
The last shop I worked at did a lot of vintage stuff, 911's and 356's mostly. That's a different kind of customer. Much better to work with than the Explorer owner that needs brakes or a check engine light fixed.

Cool, sounds like a place that needs to market to our readers. Once you're in the door, let me know if you need a media kit.

Congrats! Put me in the jealous category of working on something special.
Sounds great. Man everyone is getting jobs and I am only dreaming about getting a job offer. I have a couple out for the city and state right now which will pay enough for me to start my business within a couple months including some new shop equipment.
I start monday morning! I have a very brief time to get situated before he heads to Monterey. When he gets back from there it will be off to Spa for F1 so it will be a solo trial by fire for me.
Dream job or nightmare. Either way I get to touch some pretty things in the interim.

Congrats! That sounds like a really rewarding job.
I just signed an offer letter for a new job as well, but mine is not nearly as exciting sounding. If things all work out I will be moving back to AL.
