I am tired of winter. The snow melted away last week for about a day. It has snowed some just about everyday for the last week, with today actually accumulating a good bit. Must have gotten about 8". Tired of snow. Other than the few days when it was melted away, I haven't seen the ground since October. My brother-in-law is already mowing the lawn, but he doesn't live in the tundra.

We've already hit 80 in Chattanooga ! I've already jumped in the creek and played in the river.
80* in Detroit today, thats abnormal though, should be low 60s this time of year.
I had a friend in the other day, who had called someone he had an appointment scheduled for later this week. Basically, the conversation went something like this: "Sorry, we won't be able to meet. When wife and I looked out the window and saw the snow falling, we said 'berkeley it' and booked a flight to Phoenix."

For better or worse, we've had minimal snow in the mid-atlantic this year... or at least in the Philly area... but temps have been whacky. It was in the 80's last week. The low for tomorrow night is forecast at the freezing mark. And it's been abnormally humid this spring, judging by my dehumidifier which has been running almost non-stop for the last week or so.
Something tells me we'll go straight into Summer in May.

In all fairness, you picked a helluva time to transfer to MN. We got off one of the softest winters in history, had a pretty nice summer/fall, and were greeted what is shaping up to be the longest winter on record. I was reading the news and they were saying the shipping lanes on Lake Pepin had opened the latest they had in pretty much recorded history. We're ALL sick of it.
Grass is growing.
Time to get the lawn mower out.
While we've also had a couple of days of near 90 degree weather the majority of our days have been much cooler. Usually by this time I have my vegetable garden in and things are big & bushy. Not this year!
I haven't even been able to till the garden and planting has been out of the question. We had a freeze last night and will only be up to mid 60's today.
I'm pretty sure we've gotten almost 5" of RAIN in the last couple days.

It's damn near May- and this is the scene in our area. The pic of the MS3 is from yesterday when it was raining, then turned to sleet, hadn't quite started snowing yet- there was probably 2" of slush on the roads. Saw 4 cars in the ditch in a 3 mile stretch.
The little blue spec you see poking out of the snow? That's the Cooper S. She's gonna stay buried for the weekend. Wife's back is berkeleyed and my car is in the garage, where it is dig out free. I'm not generally a fan of winter, and this is seriously making me consider throwing all my valuables in my car, selling everything that isn't bolted down, and moving the hell to the Sun.

I felt like dragging this thread back so I could complain some more. This is video from the same balcony as my pics, of what's happening outside RIGHT NOW.
My son considered Minneapolis and Ann Arbor for a 5 year grad school program. He picked UC - Irvine - 2100 miles from his family.
Somehow I don't blame him as he just spent 4 years in Holland, Michigan - sunny California doesn't look too bad.

I just came in from playing with the dog in the backyard. Already 3-4" out there and it is still coming down. I haven't driven the Mini or the Miata since October. Maybe May will come in like a lion and out like a lamb?
It's coming back with a vengence. 80's today and 40's tomorrow.
My family just outside Denver have more snow too. Since they are really Texans they are ready to pull their hair out this year. I smell a move in their near future.
