I’m sure everything is totally under control.
The poor scammer had trouble deciding; you're...er....your???....Google AI = UR most popular. Okay, UR...

These are the things that bug me, too. It's not about safety, it's about profit; it's not even close. Look into companies such as RedFlex (who run a huge amount of red light cameras): They've been caught *repeatedly* screwing with yellow-light timing just to increase the number of tickets they issue, because they get something like 60-70% of the revenue generated by each ticket. The municipality gets a relative pittance (and, in fact, many municipalities have found that privately-run traffic cameras don't even add sigfnicantly to city revenue because the contracts give all the profits and none of the risk to the camera operator!). And, again, it's clearly not about safety. If it were about safety, they'd install traffic-calming measures rather than punitive ones.
Then, of course, there's no right to face your accuser.
As far as cameras being used to catch texters, etc.: That's already been implemented in Australia. I'm hugely opposed to texting while driving, but the cameras in Aus will even ticket you if you have a map running on your phone.
lets not even talk about the politicians who implement these who took bribes to do so.
just yesterday another one got publicly accused "Just raise me five grand..."

The bad English is a feature, not a bug. It helps them be sure that the fish they have on the line is stupid enough to be reeled the rest of the way in.
Scammers aren't interested in talking to people who will be A) just messing with them to waste their time, or B) likely to figure out it's a scam before they get through their rehearsed trap.

Add in loan consolation for the trifecta.
If you can consolidate all your loans to a larger one that has a lower rate than the others, that's not a bad thing. The problem is, people go out and start running things up again. That's a problem of personal responsibility.
For example, when I was in college, it was a separate loan for each semester. When I graduated I consolidated them all to one payment with a 2.29% rate. I don't really see how that's a scam.

Of course, my local Nextdoor group is taking time off from ranting about their latest electricity bill* to ask each other if this is legitimate.
* Elections have consequences and so does feel-good legislation. Surprise! That's all I'm going to say about that.
In 2018, my largest electric bill in July was $180. This past year I had 3 straight months more than $320. That's more a problem of utilities being publicly traded companies, that don't invest in infrastructure, then when something happens, they go to the states Corporation Commission to ask for a rate increase. I'm not sure what that has to do who is sitting in 1600 Penn.

Not all consolidations are a scam, but there are definitely highly predatory consolidation services that are scammy.

It had nothing at all to do with the White House and everything to do with Delaware's legislature.

I'll also assume you did not pay a company, that reached out to you (or you saw on tv) to do that for you?
Hence, most are scams.
I attempted to activate a new transponder Thursday night (without success, do to old account)
today my wife got "the" text
so prevalent now, the tpk signs are advertising to bees of it.
That probably means a lot of folks (I get trash talked for calling them sheeple, by azz hats on here) have been "naive " enough to think it's legit!
While on one of our local toll roads yesterday, one of the overhead signs broadcast a warning: DO NOT CLICK TEXT LINK REGARDING DELINQUENT TOLLS.
Or something like that.
I got one of the toll texts last night. Reported it as junk, I'm assuming I'll see more coming through at some point.
My dad got a bunch of toll bills over the weekend, which is impressive since he's been dead for a year and a half. These were actual paper bills from FDOT, though. According to my mom the photo isn't even his car, nor is the license plate referenced.
So, yeah, nice job on trying to be the pillar of reason and sanity amid all the scams, FDOT.

It's Leonard Skinner, right?

Since my mention of that was a super short blurb in the middle of the post right above that, probably a good service announcement to post it in a stand alone

Surprisingly enough, the northern building by camera, are enemies more mercenary! Although, since it's the same folks in both places, I guess not really a surprise

I was a fan of the band, when he still hated them. That was before he realized he could profit off of pretending he was ok with the joke!

Oddly, now that you mention it, I can’t recall our high school gym teacher’s name.
You'll need to log in to post.
