It's actually pretty good. Not quite Red Dawn in Oz, but not completely different. Apparently, the book was required reading for 10th graders in Oz for a decade or so. Part of a whole series. I hope they make more movies.
Haven't seen the film, but the books by John Marsden were excellent, (especially for required 10th grade reading - lots of guns, violence, sex, suspense, a Series Land Rover.)
Excellent movie! It's too bad it wasn't released in the U.S. I hope they do the rest of the series!
