The bootleg turns were fun
The Buick jokes were stereotypical, but funny
The banter afterwards (a la "The News") was well done

This looks like the best episode so far

Thus far, I am enjoying it.

I'm curious if any future episodes will mention Tanner's recent Gymkhana Invitational win...

This was very good. They are mouch more comfortable together now--clearly they've made friends with each other.

I think Ruttlige is excellent on camera now.

The Caddy off road stuff was just plain awesome.

Very good television there. No complaints at all w/ this one.

Preview for next week's seems to hold similar promise too.

I agree. The change is amazing.

Early on, viewers wanted to get rid of him. Now, I think he's the funniest of the bunch.

Getting better, for sure.

Not quite there, yet, but the progress is very obvious.

What will be interesting is if TG allows them to take their own tangent once the team gets their legs. I don't expect that until late season 2 or 3.

The caddy bit was hilarious. If the show keeps this improvement pace, it should be really pretty good by the end of the season. The one thing I would have changed about the challenge though was to have awarded points for the challenge vs. win/no win. The arguments over the points is always amusing.

Best episode yet. I hope they continue to improve!

Yeah, the Buick jokes were pretty lame but the rest of the show was decent. Adam Ferrera is finally starting to have a presence on the show.

Best episode yet by a LONG shot. It was almost on par with normal TG. How do I figure that? My wife watched the whole thing.

I like how they've switched up on the Celeb Interview. Although the bit with them drinking the "moonshine" (was it real? I didn't catch that part) was hysterical. Being that I'm from a state where you can find people who still make it, it was neat to see someone else's reaction to the stuff. They were braver than I was, actually drinking the stuff.

I think its gonna get better faster since they have the TGUK to learn from.

Hard to tell, for me.

It WAS alcohol, without a doubt.

But based on how it burned, I don't think it was E100. Wait, Everclear in drinkable versions. It burned too much like 80 proof vs. 200 proof.

I still thought it was funny.

I bet it was real. I've had some real white lightnin' before, and I had the same reaction as Tanner did.

I thought it was great... but then again I'm not one of those crying about how it's not TGUK. I'm just enjoying it for what it is!

I suspect the jars they were carrying around in the trunk actually had water in them, but the stuff they were spitting in the fire looked pretty real.

I laughed quite a few times. For some reason, the campfire scene with them spitting moonshine into the fire cracked me up. I wanted to join in.

Rewatching it right now. They just picked up the liquor, and described it as, "more than 50% alcohol" so we should assume around 100 proof.

It was the best one yet, and I think once everyone has some more time behind the wheel the test drives and challenges will be more fun to watch too.

I just watched it. I laughed my ass off! That was awesome! When he bent the Caddy I laughed so hard I had to pause the Tivo. That's the best laugh I've had in weeks! Ha!!!

Love it, love it, love it!

Yeah--I don't think they were faking the agony of those first sips. The whole "get 'em drunk and film 'em" was a great idea. If you want them to bond, that's a great way to do it.

I will say--Ruttlige's T-Bird was disgusting. I couln't have driven it without giving the interior a thorough cleaning. That really creeped me out.

Looking forward to seeing the battle droid Del Sol next week.

I could still take it or leave it at this point. I'll keep watching, but if it ended after three shows I wouldn't spend any time thinking about what could've been. Rutledge is my favorite of the three, although he should let Tanner do the driving.

I've watched the newest uk episodes and they are great...just as one would expect. That doesn't mean the US version $ucks a$$. UKTG has had years to polish their act. Why not give the US guys a bit more than 3 episodes before writing them off.

If you want to condem a US version of a show that is 3 episodes into it's life, vs the UK version that is 10 SEASONS into it's life, well, go for it.

You'll also note how few get BBC America. I didn't until recently.

As long as you feel superior to us that we watch the History channel, you sleep well at night.
