Anyone watching? Bus stuck under the finish line!
Love the tour! Once the bus got stuck, I kept wondering why they just didn't back it up. After hemming and hawing forever, it looked like they deflated the front tires and back up without issue. Crazy first stage!

Oh, they'll test clean. The guys making the stuff are about five years ahead of the guys testing the stuff.
Which means in five years the French will have to disqualify this years winner. I don't think the have an actual winner anymore, just a Chief Suspect.

Yep. And I don't really care, since every one of them is as dirty as the next. I still count Armstrongs wins as legitimate.

berkeleyin' ay! dirty dirty sport. and Lance was the best of them all.
I agree about Lance being the best of his era and don't dismiss his wins, however, when comparing times the general consensus is drug use is down considerably. Not that anyone will believe this... especially in the US where professional cycling has always been a fringe sport and we're so quick to knock someone down.

haven't most of the winners "tested" clean ... (regardless of whether they actually were) ?
I saw a movie years ago about a guy who grew up in poverty and went on to become a Tour de France winner. That sparked my interest in cycling. I will certainly be watching.

You forgot, the event is organised by the French.
Ah, TdF season.
This is when I get yelled at repeatedly by my coworkers for hijacking the breakroom TV every morning.
I have to put up with ESPN and 'The Price is Right' 50 weeks of the year, they can suck it.
Bonus points: I'm not in the hospital for this year's race
Hell yeah, high point of my sports year. We always buy the full stream package on NBCSports. This is the only sport I watch on tv, and that includes motorsports.
Wiggo was great last year, but Froome looks like a rocket, and I'm a huge fan of Peter Sagan. Cadel looks strong this year too, and he was cool as a cucumber on Froomes' hill attack yesterday.

So retreating from the finish line was pretty easy?
I just read a great article about one of the young American riders, Andrew Talansky. Here is a guy we cheer for. Rides for the Garmin team, which is adamant about riding drug free.
