Trailer Park Boys

Hey fellow GRM'ers,

Excuse me if this has been talked about before,but I just found this show a few weeks ago. On Directv channel 101 they have been showing this Canadian show on Thursday nights. Now I am not Canadian,and have never lived in a trailer park I find this show amazingly funny. To the point where I have looked on eBay to find it on DVD instead of waiting each week for my fix.

I often wish to be Canadian with their superior sports TV like Hockey Night in Canada,and Sports Centre that actually covers the greatest sport ever,hockey!!! If Trailer Park Boys is the level of entertainment that Canadians enjoy on a regular basis then I will be at the border tomorrow. Why is it I am only seeing this show now after it was on for 7 seasons in the great white north?

If any of you guys have Directv,and are around on a Thursday night turn on 101 around 10pm,and try not laughing, I bet you fail. Bubbles is the greatest character ever!!!

The show took a while to get noticed, and get play in the States. It's my son's favourite show. You're right, you don't realize just how good HNIC is, until you see American sports programming.

I haven't watched ESPN in maybe 4-5 years. It is the SPAM of sports television in my opinion. I used to love it,but now I can't even turn the channel on. I get the NHL network on Directv as well,and Saturday nights are awesome during the October through June months.

I am going to buy TPB on DVD very soon.

Seriously. That was one of the funniest things I ever watched. I tried to get into TPB but I just don't smoke enough weed. I can appreciatte some of the jokes, I just can't get into it, and I love Canadian humour.

I have never smoked weed,and never will,but I still like TPB very much. Maybe it is my 3rd grade mentality,and love for the word Berkeley.

I just watched a few clips of Corner Gas on Youtube,and I do agree this is a funny show. I need to get both of these on DVD as a box set.

What litle I've seen of TPB is pretty funny.

Recently one of my favorite shows of all time, 'Malcolm in the Middle', went into reruns on Nick at Nite. I have tried to tell my kid a couple of times just how funny it was and she gave me that 'sure it is' look, last night she was laughing so hard she nearly fell off the couch. It was the episode where they are cleaning out the closet which was full of junk from the house's previous owner. At the end, the parents discover that it was actually a second bathroom and they decide to hide it from the kids.

Just a reminder if you have Directv TPB's is on tonight. I have the DVR ready,and I will probably watch it while it is on anyway.

My girlfriend used to babysit his kids back when he and his wife did the Smith and Smith show (boy that was some bad TV).
