I recently purchased a treasure trove of old tools (mostly Craftsman) for rather cheap. I found some really old things in there, is any of it historically valuable? Is it just trash?

Here are some of the things in there....

Not sure of the value, but that one on top, marked 1945, looks hand made with a 20mm round for the handle.

Yeah, I've asked him to take more pics of the top one. It looks pretty amazing.

Is the bottom thing some sort of woodworking tool? The box had everything from some ~30-year old or so Craftsman screwdrivers and a smattering of newish bits to some really old stuff like this.

It's sobering to think that 1945 is 75 years ago now. And the guy this came from may have been there, or his dad or uncle maybe?

That is know as TRENCH ART. There are collectors out there for such items. Simple stuff goes for $25-$100; but the personalization on that knife will push it in value close to $200. Please!, do not trash it!

I was looking at that. It looks like a weird combination of a Shriner's scimitar and the 20mm round- maybe made by somebody as a keepsake for when they got sent home?
