My Dad sent me these, taken south of Perth, Western Australia.

What's the thing with the Jeep on its back?

Any ideas on the V8?

idunno. Kind of looks like an old Mack, but I'm thinking not. Maybe an Oz native? All I know is that lately I've had a strong desire to restore an old, old class 8 tractor. Then make it into a heavy equipment hauler.

The V8 looks like a later Ford, since it appears to have head bolts, not studs.

I don't think that's an actual Jeep either. Probably one of the many post war knock offs made around the globe. (The fenders, front and rear, don't look right in my eyes) Fuel tank and filler neck are all wrong too.

If it's a jeep, it's some variant of a CJ6. I'm also not sure it's a jeep at all though.

The truck with the "jeep" on it's back could be a Mack or a Reo, tho the front track has been widened so much it is hard to be sure.

The one with the jeep on its back appears to be a Commer.
