I don't need to turn the entire forest (and highway) into the scorching surface of the sun, but I would like to add a bit of throw to my oem headlights. They are plenty wide, and the beam is nice and low, but I can't adjust the headlights.
With highbeams I get plenty of light, but on the highway for example, this is problematic. I'm constantly turn on and off my highbeams in order to sufficiently avoid Arizona's big game.
I've got fog lights that are currently dead. I thought about getting some LED fog light pods, a little adapter plate, and pointing them both in a bit. Hopefully this would keep them out of the eyes of on-coming traffic while still getting some reach.
Thoughts on courteously increasing the reach of my lighting setup?
What is the truck? You should be able to adjust the lights, it's probably required by law.
You're trying to put more light straight down the road, not to the sides?

It's an 06 Tundra with aftermarket headlights (replaced after wreck). I think I've tried finding the adjusters without much luck. I'll look again.
Yes, straight ahead, don't need more out the side.
I'm going to guess that it's the aftermarket headlights. I've had varying levels of success with them. On my E39, they were junk. Stock replacements for the 2000 Grand Cherokee were okay. No better than stock, but no worse.
When I wanted to upgrade the headlights on the Jeep, I picked up a set of Spyder aftermarket lights and put some good Phillips bulbs in them. Yeah, they've got cheezy halos - but good optics. Made a massive difference over stock in putting light in the right places.
The adjusters on the Jeep are almost impossible to find, you have to insert a screwdriver down the back of the light to a secret gear.
