This is quite disturbing......Ref gets punched by a player over a call, ref loses his head and stabs player, player dies, outraged fans behead ref, and after all of this, I cannot stop from thinking about Austin Powers references......
"Well, he will never be the head of a major corporation"
Thats almost unbelievable. what a berkeleyed up way to go
Well, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast.

Wow. That should give something to look forward to in 2016.
Anyone want to be an Olympic soccer player? OK then, Brazil wins by default.
The only part of this that's surprising is that the referee stabbed a player. The fans would have done the same to him if he made a bad enough call.

The World Cup is going to be there in 2014 which in Brazil will be a much bigger deal for the people. Given Brazil's hooligans and crime rate, I can only imagine how well that is going to go... Probably better then Qatar 2018 though.

WHAT THE ACTUAL BERK? One ass hole out of the lot of em gets pinched? Arent these things televised? With actual cameras? You mean to tell me they can only get one of these barbarians? Soccer is a silly assed sport anyhow. Why do people even care? Id rather go to the DMV than watch a futbol contest.

This was a local game so no.

Sports, soccer in particular are taken WAYYYYYYY seriously outside of north America, people killing each other over that sport is nothing new.

That was exactly what my response was when I heard about this.
You think you can get bad reaction walking into a sports bar in the US wearing the wrong jersey, you can get berkeleying killed for that in Europe and South America.

The real story to me is the ref thought beforehand that he might need a knife.
Who's ugly now? Berkeleying Barbarians.

What he actually needed was a machine gun and a bunch of hand grenades.

Similar story for me, but the fact that he thought at that moment that he needed to use it.
I can see the "need" for the knife. I've been an ice hockey referee for 6 years, and after calling what was honestly a well called game, had to call the police to get an escort from the locker room.

This. Strikes me as odd how the rest of the planet considers us uncouth rude violent barbarians, then something like this happens... how about the British soccer hooligans? I'm glad I'm still here in the Great Satan thankyaverramuch. Even though I'm in the violent deadly durty durty South.
I was just in Blytheville, AR.
Dirty sums it up pretty succinctly.

What?!
Never been to Blytheville, but I drove through AR once, and it seemed pretty nice to me.
Proof that I'm right:

I guess he should have stopped while he was ahead?
here in the USA, our sports fans only start rioting and killing people when their team wins a championship...
