That actually looks like it was done with some thinking! What a change. Might even be a bit of fun in the snowy north--I can't believe I just wrote that.
But it would need Box Flares to make it legal in many states with those tires protruding beyond the body shell.

I musta breezed over that part (I can only eBay for 1/2 hour at lunch) I see it's not a body plopped onto a frame, so what did he do?
Dan
I can't believe this, I want to bid on it. Scare the crap out of this bucolic neighborhood. Freak out the landlord.. It could be my Spitfire's WWE relative.....
That is really impressive, and the likeness to the SX/4 is cool too. Nopw I've seen the focus as fwd, rwd converted, awd, and full on 4x4.

This is a custom built four wheel drive 2005 ford focus hatchback. Running gear is Toyota, 22-RE engine, 5 speed manual trans, transfer case, rear axle and front differential from 94 pickup. This is NOT a car body stuck on a truck frame like is often done, this has been built using the unibody of the car with a custom sub frame in the front to convert it to four wheel drive.
Interior is all stock focus except the front portion of the center console which needs to be finished off. The seats have some staines and the drivers side has a rip on the outside edge. overall the interior is in nice condition.
Exterior is in good used condition with some minor scrapes or chips. The dark gray on the bottom and hood are fresh paint.
Rear suspension is four link on coil springs, front is independent with afco coilovers. 33x10.50x15 BFG Mud Taraine tires with 75% tread on them. Power rack and pinion steering, custom stainless steel fuel tank,
I have this registered and inspected in ny as a 1994 Toyota Pick up which is what the running gear is from, I have a clear title.
What this focus still could use is a set of guages, the stock guages will not work with the sending units in the engine. I had planed on going with a set of aftermarket guages but havent had a chance to get that done.
This is a one of a kind vehicle and a head turner no matter where you go, I have done 100% of the fabrication on this project and can answer any questions you may have, feel free to ask.
There ya go, for all y'all eBay imapired.
