Good race guys!
Javelin, I believe I owe you an apology as well. I bumped you mid-corner and seemingly sent you off. Totally didn't mean to do that - this is essentially my first time racing online.
Some pics from our first race out tonight:

The lead was this close between Tazbuck and myself
Action at the last turn

Good to know I was part of an "incident" At least I'm number 1 at something! Sorry to graefin if I caused said "incident." I was super careful (to a fault) trying to pass, and gave it up HARD being passed as lapped traffic.
Had fun tonight guys! Especially the post race Trans-Am... At least right until my xBox froze!
I'll get a new thread going for GRM T/A and try to explain the tuning rules a little better. Will probably just post some examples if it keeps proving too confusing.
One more thing... Racerfink, let us know what you're thinking for Le Mans themed action, a bunch of people sounded interested in it this evening.
Yeah, Lot of fun!!! Next time we will need to remember to start a fresh lobby before qualifying so the grid order is correct.
Some Le Mans events will be cool. Although I will be watching as much of the race as possible so playing xbox and streaming the race might be too much. lol
Trans-Am is going to be fun also, I like having to work through the turns.
The first race went well and even though there was some contact I think it wasn't that bad for the most part. Biggest things to work on is trying to communicate with lap traffic and realize that it is a lot harder to be aware of our surroundings than in real life.
Is the next race going to be next friday?
Eh, I was holding down 10th pretty clear until I didn't see that there were two cars in the mirror, rather than one. Still, bunches of fun...I'd still rather run with y'all than other folks. Onto the next one!
I cut a 1:04 without using the clutch...

No biggie Poop. I got spun out twice but I don't think it affected any positions and I was surprised that my damge was only 30. The second time I got spun was a pretty hard hit. I was all the way to the rt. side of the main straight to make room for two cars coming up to pass me. They decided to go 3 wide. It didn't seem to affect the way the car drove. With that many cars on that small a track I expected some contact.
A problem I had was visibility. I had always practiced with the view in which you only see your instruments. One of the reasons I like it is you have a full unobstructed rear view mirror. That view was not available last night. The reason I dropped so far back in "practice" is that i was trying to find an alternate view that I was comfortable with. The problem was that the roll cage bracing blocks most of the mirror's view. I guess I need to set up a way to toggle the views. Any suggestions?
Many of you obviously spent a lot of time on car graphics. When I tested the Mazda I thought about doing a rendition of the Renoun 787B. Stig pulled it off quite well so he get's my vote for the coolest car. #55 Mazda.
BTW, on GT, everyone just calls me Grae. If you will please call me that during the races. I wasn't sure sometimes if you were referring to me or Griffith.
Overall, I had fun tonight and I'm loooking forward to next week.
Man I wish I could get in on this. Sounds like you need two heats before the quali so more than 16 have a chance to make it in. I seriously want in on some vintage T/A action.

If that was the first corner of the first lap, apology accepted. If that was at any other point during the race I probably came down into your line like an idiot, so it's my fault and I'm sorry.
Is there a spectator lobby? I am no good at racing games, but watching y'all would be doubt be a hoot.
Dang this looks fun. I just built a Fit to spec, but I need to up my livery game.
Whats everyone running at Sears Point NASCAR? Im stuck in the 1:33.3 range.

Yeah, I got some of that action in turn one. Took me out of the lead!!!
In reply to poopshovel:
Hmm... dunno. Sometimes, when playing online, the liveries don't show up. Everyones liveries were on last night when I was on

I wanted to tell you and anyone else with excessive sound in the house problems what I did last night to solve it. I normally play using phones off of my tv monitor. Since Forza's intercom headset is for voice com. only I put on my normal headset for the ambient sounds, pulled the left side phone off my ear and then put on the Forza single sided headset on my left ear and pulled the mic into place. I adjusted everything to get it comfortable and it stayed in place and gave me no problems.

Oh, I meant the Fit looks crazy low.
In reply to LainfordExpress:
I just re-read the T/A rules and you state that all other mods. should be done first then engine mods. to build the car to the PI limit. I don't see anywhere that the limits for the two classes are mentioned. Did I overlook it or have you not decided yet?
Edit: It just occurred to me that you mean move it up to the next class letter. Remember, I'm new here, I know nothing.
Graefin: I gotta sit like 20' back from the TV (good problem to have,) so current hardware won't allow any kind of headphones/mic. Considering a wireless unit but the reviews are pretty bad.

Wow, either a huge screen or you have super vision.
I've got a HF wireless setup I bought about 6 months ago on sale for $10. Still haven't hooked it up. I'll be amazed if it works as intended. It says the range is about 60ft. IIRC.
You'll need to log in to post.
