Don't think I'll be able to make it tonight guys.
Damn. Every pic I can find of a BMW 1600/2002 running the 2.5 Challenge seriously stinks.
Actually, that one's not too bad..but in monochrome, I don't know how to paint it. Searching the driver's name doesn't deliver any color photos.
I found a couple of photos last week, one B&W of what seems to be a Schnitzer paint job, and a color shot of what might be Russ Norburn's blue & white car. But since Google doesn't search properly anymore, I can't find them again.
Respect to racerfink for doing Tullius' car.

Suits me right for not looking for current Vintage cars. Thanks, I think I've already got a Schnitzer black/orange in the design catalog. Gotta turn the roof back to orange, tho.
Fried green, check the issues of CLASSIC Motorsports for the small bore issue with all the BMW's, 510's and Alfa's. It has a few good shots of the BMW's. I also have a paint job with the one that has the US flag on the roof and red numbers...I'll send it to you
Corvettes weren't eligible way back when. The original T/A cars were for 4 seat, 2 door coupes/sedans.
The articles I found on the car when I was looking for a larger displacement car to run against the rest of the big blocks, that was what I found. Maybe I'll just update one of my old hopper battle C3's. Of course, if we shall go by the basic rules, all those outlaw big block cars need to go away as do the Porches in the upper 5L class(All Porches were ran in U2 against the Alfa's, BMW's, and 510's from the on record 1967 - 1973 magazines I have) Then again, maybe I'll fix up my other Mustang with it's old school TA livery. It is of course an eligable big block ;)
FGC, in the team garage is my 2002 as ran for T/A and BS classes as it was prepped by 'Racing by Dietel'. The data for the livery comes from pg 61, Issue 150, May 2011 of Classic Motorsports. Also right next to it is the 1970 Champ Alfa driven by Horst Kwech(IF ANYONE HAS THE VINTAGE VALVOLINE VINYL, please send it! I had to sub my Castrol). For you nickel and dimers, I am working on the exact detail of Morton's '71-'72 2.5 Challenge #46 as currently owned by Nissan USA(all photos are pg 65 in the aforementioned issue)
Here I was wondering why I had such a hard time with my cars.
Checked, found that I still had the stock tires on it.
The hoppers were probably laughing at my sweeeeeet donut though.
Zombie thread... Back from the dead.
Reference the first page people that are interested in running in the weekly series that'll be staring soon and want build guidance... Details to follow.
tony427ss(or is it tony ss427) ^ is one of the good guys in teh hopper lobbies I race with. He asked me to square him away with the TA stuff. When we race, I will give you the invite. we 'usually' start the regular series then run some TA stuff for fun
Lainford, Set up the new RULES Below. We really need to get the cars straightend out. How about three classes? Small Block T/A Big Block T/A(because Forza doesn't have the 302's for many cars) U2, is G2G
