Is it possible to find used screen doors or even really cheap new ones? The question may be silly, but I want to put screen doors on the front and back doors of my condo without spending a ton of money. I really don't want to put money into my condo (I rent), but I don't think I can go another year without them. The two doors would produce a lot of air flow. I have standard size doors, I wouldnt think it would be too hard to find something.

Any ideas? I'm not really into the home improvement stuff, so I have no clue on prices and such.

I've seen them for $20 at Home Depot. Just a door, no hinges.

Do you have a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in your area? Also check the local HD/Lowes for display items when they are redoing the displays.

Bwahahahahaaa. My MIL moved into a condo with no screen doors. The owner had some he would sell her for $100 + $50 to install them. (2 doors).

What he does is remove the doors when you move out and make the offer to every tenant!

There's a really good reason used screen doors are removed...

I have never seen one worth re-using.

Well I ask, because my dad did that about 10 years ago. He bought a new glass storm door for the front, moved the front screen door to the back door and gave away the back screen door to someone who needed one, because there was nothing wrong with it.

I removed two baked enamel extruded aluminum storm doors when I redid my porches, really great shape for as old as they were, much too good to scrap. Posted $15 ea. or 2/ $25 / offers on CL. After no interest and tripping over them for months they went to the scrap yard, shame too they were that good. My beer fund made out on that one.
