My wife is working on a paper for school about Alex B Porter and Bethlehem steel case number 41 LA 1152,1153. All she knows is it is an arbitration case and the only place that has anything on it is Lexus Nexus. The only thing i can see on there site is that they want $75 to look at the article. Does anyone know if there Is there a cheaper trial price for people that don't need a membership? We'd rather not spend $75 for one paper if we can avoid it.
Check the local law school. Chances are the library has a lexus-nexus subscription.

She should be able to buy a paper, or maybe even a degree, for less than $75.
Have you tried Google Scholar? If you give me a better cite I might be able to get it; that citation (forget the second #, it's a pinpoint citation to a particular page) isn't getting me very far.
The college she is attending doesn't give students access to this? Wild.

Thanks for the help. That's all she has to go one right now, she e-mailed the professor to try and get more info. She is "going" to Empire State, which is NY State's on line school. Every so often one of her professor's throws out something odd like this.
Second on the law school library. I bet the school still gets the reporters, too, so you can read it from the book.

Her school library should have access or your local county library.. You pay for your local library already, probably should use it..

For a very small town it's a great library, but she was hoping not to go tomorrow and wait for a computer.

sometimes you can access the stuff online if you are a library system member already. One connected library in NY has to have this for free online.
I crapped out finding anything on that title or cite & variations. If it's a Louisiana matter, I'd almost think it should be Port of Alexandria.

Thanks, they look promising
Random Lexus Nexus story - if you a law student and Lexus Nexus has a contest to see which student can do the most searches on their site, type a search word into the search box, then click on the "search" button, but hold down your mouse button. You will get about 30 searches a second credited to your score. Pretty soon you'll get a nice prize (Not that I know anybody who has done this and won a nice prize.)

I have access to Lexus Nexus through school, but I couldn't find any information in the legal search, nor any information about the case through Google. Could the case be titled some other way to improve the search?

Without more info or a better title from the prof. she couldn't find much. She never heard from him today so she went on with what she had. Thanks.
OK. If she needs help shoot me a PM. Mrs. Mopar is willing to help.

Thanks. She did it on what she had and has now moved on to this week's paper. This guy picks some big topics for a weekly assignment.
