Last night for the first time in nearly 3 years (shoulder injuries requiring surgeries then surgeries from being sick) I was able to play guitar. A bit rusty, but not as incredibly terrible as I thought I'd be. I used to play a lot of Pearl Jam stuff, some Dave Matthews, guster, green day and pumpkins. None of which is the wife's favorites. She asked if I knew any foo fighters, I used to play everlong and knew these days so I got through those. Then I looked up the chords for walk and couldn't get through it without tearing up heavily. I don't think that a song that I've heard for 10 years plus has ever reached up before to hit me like that. I had never played it before last night but it's now without a doubt my favorite song to scrap on.
