I was issued a tiny new HP laptop by work. After the initial setup it started doing this. I apologize in advance for phone pictures of a screen but I'm not sure how to even describe what is going on.

Hopefully you  can see the odd artifacts in pictures.

I pulled it out of the box, went through the setup and shortly after it connected to my Microsoft account this happened to any images displayed.

 

Send it back or is there something I should check?

I'd try a different browser first. Ideally Firefox as that's using a different rendering engine.

Also make sure that you have all the latest drivers installed.

It does this to the wallpaper as well. Not just in a browser

Mucking about with windows HD color settings and setting the display color profile to "native" seems to have cleared it up
