Last week there were Vintage Races at Phoenix International Raceway. 
Fewer entries than in February (I was told) but a nice event. The promoter was kind enough to allow non Racers to take their cars on the track for an hour at a nominal fee. 
I was about to when a fellow took his minivan to the starting grid. 
He switched with his friends and allowed them a shot behind the wheel...

Not much to tell. A group of us were watching him go round. When the tires started to complain, it was time to walk away. You have to give the guy props. He had his foot in it.
When Classic Motorsports looks back thirty years from now I'll be able to say I was there at the birth of the Minivan Class.
Maybe I can sell the idea to NASCAR...
well, I know of this magizine that once did a performance comparison that had a honda minivan squaring off aganst a porshe and a jag.......
