I lived on the Niskyuna/Schenectady line for 2 years (on the right side of the line!). 914Driver, I know what you mean although there was a hole-in-the-wall bar near the GE plant that had 8 tables and a CIA-trained chef who made the best Steak Au Poivre I've ever had...

So now he's gonna get the head of GE to tell him how to screw us better. Besides the Minigun, what does GE make that isn't a total POS?

I'd have been agog too.

Sure glad I've got a storm shelter, cause air quality index would be horrible today. He'd really stink it up.

Be aware of traffic issues- a few times a President has come to SE MI, and they always completely close the freeways.

OTOH, if one is paying attention, my alternate route home was right next to the airport that Air Force One was parked. Pretty cool sight.

One other interesting note- Bush I came to town, and they landed in the parking lot of the Henry Ford- almost at the same time as I got to work- pretty cool sight to see those heliocopters come in so quickly... Anyway, a friend of mine had a pretty modern alarm system in her car, and found a polite (and it really was) note from the Secret Service telling her that the car was searched inside and out. The alarm had no indication of break in....

Anyway- it's kind of fun to have the President in town, no matter the side of the isle they come from.

Engines, baby. I'll take GE over Rolls Royce all day, every day.

I up the ante with the Rolls powered Harrier. One of which is privately owned just up the road in Culpepper, VA.

The CJ-610 series of engines are reliable, light and powerful engines. However they do burn alot of fuel at low altitude.

I still wear the Rolls Royce pin the factory rep gave me. Upside down.

And Mistanfo- I'll see your Harrier's 30-year old tech and raise you a JSF.

Oh, so that's how GE stays in business. By creating and making sure wars don't end, thus providing a ready market for large jet aircraft engines and Miniguns. That's something The O really needs to work on. Not enough wars going on right now, huh? Yup, get the head of GE onboard to tell us how to keep GE busy making jet engines so we can continue to bomb Moslems. The Moslems all like us now anyway because we elected The O. That's what we were told would happen when he won, right?

And I doubt they make those light bulbs anymore, seeing as how they are illegal or are going to cause Florida to be underwater next month or something. And their VCR's sucked big time. And every other appliance that had a "GE" label on it. Glad that the Minigun works so well, though. Too bad I'll never be able to afford one or even 1 minute's worth of ammo. It would be a lot of phun for a minute, though. I've pee'ed off more money that that, but it usually takes me more than a minute and I at least have 4 wheels attached to something to look at afterwards.

I've been here a couple years Hess.

I've just noticed you've stepped up your floundering to a professional level.

Do you own lots of guns? Have many 30 round clips? I think I'll do what they didn't do in AZ- report you to the proper mental health authorities...

You're hatred towards a man you've never met is sad.

If this thread gets locked (which it's well on the way to...) it won't be because of Cone Junky's post.

And it's pwned...
