If you check my profile here you'll find an old conversion van. I use this van as my driver most of the time. I love this thing. I've driven it since I had a license and I'm keeping it. It's a little rusty around the edges since that's a 5 year old picture, but its generally in good running order. The frame and floorboards are surprisingly solid according to a shop that did my drum brakes a month ago.
My grandma has the same kind of van. Its an E150 conversion van with a 302. To be exact, it's one year older (1986) so its carbonated. The custom work is different, a little less fancy than mine, but still a comfy place to be. It only has 66000 miles, and less rust. Almost none, actually. I've been eying this thing for a while now. My uncle has the van at the moment, and he's about the only person who used it that took care of it, so that's a good thing. He told me today if I want it it's mine for free-fiddy-free. I do want it, but it's not exactly small. I don't want to take it if I can't find a place to keep it obviously, and know I can take care of it. That's the main reason he's offering it to me, since I have shown i can keep one of these vans for years and keep it in good running order. There are other people that want it, but that's a one way ticket to this van having a broken transmission, scrapes up and down, smoker smell, and unattended rust spreading.
What say ye? I'll be in binghamton New York, if that helps storage suggestions. I would want access to it so I could drive it around.
