Tonight we did Emmet Otter followed by 1941.
Haven't seen White Christmas or A Christmas Story, but we've hit all the other classics so far.
Scrooged is my favorite, followed closely by A Muppet Christmas Carol
Hogfather is my favorite Christmas movie, but I'm very interested in the power of myth, narrative and perception.
It's on Amazon Prime as a three part series. I read the books and watched it a few times, and I bet if I were to watch it or read the book again I'd pick on something else I missed.
The Man Who Invented Christmas, about Charles Dickens and the writing of A Christmas Carol. Wonderful movie.
We haven't watched it this year, but I watched it twice in a week last year. It's that good.
When the kids were younger, we would watch polar express every year.
Every year I watch the Rankin Bass Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with mom. I sometimes watch Love Actually. I can usually find some of the old Dr Who Christmas specials.
This year I watched the Mandarin version of Dangerous Liaisons again. It's not a Christmas movie, but it is set in winter. If you haven't watched it, I think it is the finest piece of cinema I've ever seen. It's set in 1930s Shanghai. Opulent, gorgeous, and the script and cinematography is friggin genius.

We're not birds, we're a JUGBAND
Just Home Alone this year with the demon. She's been watching the frozen movies pretty much constantly on her tablet though.
I was hoping to introduce the 12 year old to Jack Frost, Black Christmas, or Silent Night, Deadly Night this season but she's going to be spending Xmas break with relatives.
I tried to start the Diehard tradition last year, but after making everyone listen to Alice's Restaurant on Thanksgiving, nobody wants to do my traditions anymore.
Where did you see 1941? That movie is NEVER on. On DVD?
We watched Wonder Woman. Nice movie, with a good amount of marginal CGI...
Yes & no. Worked my way through the Diehard series leading up to Christmas. Saved the last one for Christmas Eve and it wasn't a Christmas movie...Very disappointing.
I caught most of FX's Christmas Carol by Dickens last night. Well acted, especially Guy Pearce, and pretty powerful while being very dark. I enjoyed it.
Double feature yesterday:
Tarantula! (1950s horror flick so bad it's almost good) followed by Wonder Woman 1984.
Margie
Die Hard
Rare Exports
Once Upon a Christmas Time (bad slasher flick)
Not a movie but South Park's Woodland Christmas Critters

A couple of years ago, we saw it in the theater!! It was like being 8 again.
Last year according to my Facebook memories we watched Prometheus.
There was a Xmas tree in it so it's a Christmas movie
