Website design/domain help

The current website for our business is REALLY bad/dated looking. I set it up using godaddy’s “website builder” 10-ish years ago having no idea what I was doing. The domain is also with them.

We are also starting a new business, and I’d like to do it “right” this time. Not a ton of content. Basically just a slick/modern looking home page with logo, pics of our work, a brief “about us” and either a contact “page” or just basic contact info at the bottom of each page. All of which I’d like to look good on both PC & mobile devices. We *might* at some point want to organize pics of work by subject (Fine art, executive gifts, sports memorabilia, etc) but I’m not sure.

Everyone I’ve asked for help on this has said “dude, save yourself a bunch of money and just set one up using wix”

I suppose I’m okay with that if it’s going to save us thousands of dollars, but I’d really rather just trust a pro or even “semi-pro”

I’d also like to start over with the website for our current business.

Also both domains are registered with godaddy, so I’m not sure how that works if we use Wix, etc to design(?)

Wix or Squarespace would do what you want, and using the GoDaddy domain with another server won't be a problem. I could do this very easily but unfortunately I'm swamped right now.

Godaddy and others often offer a Wordpress plugin. For design work, that would probably be the easiest way for you to go if you want to do it yourself. It also brings a host of SEO tools to the table.

There's a couple of programs like Mobirise and Pinegrow which do Bootstrap. They're okay but often require a bit of tweaking to make them work how you want if you're picky.

If you're looking for a full redesign, I can give you the name of the marketing agency we use. They do design work and have always been pretty reasonable.
