This past Labor Day I had had the luck of getting married to my lovely girlfriend of the last 5 years. It was a fantastic time, super glad we did it and looking forward to married life (much the same as before).
I got really lucky for getting to and from our venue as I didn't want to drive since I knew we were going to be drinking that night. I made a post to the Avants car club that I'm a part of (mostly west coast/PNW) and got a super generous offer from one of the other members to drive us in his car that he acquired for fun. In this case it was a 1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow in fantastic condition. He acquired it about 9 months ago on a whim from NC where it was being used as a wedding car, but he and his partner just wanted something fun. They even took it down to Monterey (drove the whole way) and back to Seattle with no issues.
It was a wonderful ride, and he left the car at the venue for people to take pictures with it during the reception.
So what car did you take to and from your wedding, or do you have plans in the future? My backup option was to take my 911 and just be careful about drinking, but this was so much better.

Congrats on getting hitched!
We drove a 1981 Ford F150. Everything we owned was in the back and we were headed out of town.
If I had it to do again, I have some better options in the fleet.

The vintage Rolls is a classic wedding material. Congrats and well done!
The old red 1992 Miata I had at the time was The Answer for us. No worries about driving, since the reception, bars, and hotel were all in the same 2 blocks.
First off, congrats!
We simply drove off in my daily, a 2015 Honda Fit. My poor wife had to hold her dress in bunches to fit it all.
And I agree that if I could do it all again, it would have been fun to have something like a Rolls or a Bentley.
My wife and I agreed that we should renew our vows at our 10th anniversary, and I'm hoping at that point in our lives we'll be well off enough to afford something fancier than a Honda.
We hired a guy with a 1938 Packard sedan. Not this one but looked very similar. It was awesome.
We got married on our own property and had a small reception there, so there was no wedding car because we didn't leave. But we did need something to get up to the photography spot, and I think we used a rented Malbu Maxx for that :) We also took those formal photos before the ceremony so we could move straight from the wedding to the party so we weren't actually married at the time.
However, we have talked about taking the '66 Cadillac to Vegas to renew our vows in front of Elvis at some point.

We arrived in our old Whaler, in the family for many years, as the venue was the little community clubhouse that is about 10 docks down from ours.
We left in our NSX
In reply to Keith Tanner :
We did photos before our ceremony as well, all the ones with family. That way we could just sign our wedding license and then go to the happy hour before dinner, worked out perfectly!
In reply to Driven5 :
I was married before, and for the first one I drove us away in our 1997 M Edition... It was the Answer at the time.
We had a low-key wedding and figured that a new Mini would be kinda cool. At the time, it was new (and rather hot).
So I called a friend at BMW to see if I could call in a favor.
His reply:
“A special occasion like that deserves something truly special. I am sending you the flagship of the fleet.”
And he booked us a 760Li.
I also forgot to mention, the gentleman who owns the vehicle did it all for free, he just wanted some fun pictures to have for the future. I only met him a few weeks before the wedding at an event after he said he would drive us. I love the automotive community!
We used my 1930 Ford Model A. It's been in my family since 1958.

My '69 Olds Delta 88 convertible with my brother at the wheel and my sister-in-law riding shotgun. That was the first and only time I've ever been a passenger in the Delta.
Celebrated 17 years with my wife, and nearing 23 years with the Oldsmobile. The Olds is sitting two feet in front of me as I type this, but has been mothballed for a few years. Life gets busy.
1960 Buick LeSabre Convertible, Red. On loan from my Dad's friend. This isn't the exact car, but it looked just like it:
I didn't actually get to drive it. The Best Man (along with the Maid of Honor) chamfered us around in it.
1955 Chevy station wagon that the neighbor owned. No pics.
Rented a Limo, her Dad paid.
When the son got married, her Dad said "50k wedding or cash for a house."
She wanted the princess in a vineyard gig, common sense loses....
Looks like May was right when he said 'You cannot look bad in a Shad..'
Love these pics; we ended up getting a couple of Town Cars to move the wedding party around with.
I could not remember so I just asked my wife. It was my midnight blue robocop inspired 1987 Mercury Sable. With the light bar in the front between the headlights that took four bulbs that cost $40 each. Instead of replacing them I masked it off and painted it to match the body color.
Congratulations on getting married!
My wife and I were also married on Labor Day weekend. Had it at my Aunt and Uncle's place, in the front yard. Couldn't have been a more perfect day.
Oh yeah, the car.
We left in my 1981 300D Benz... that I put a 302 Ford and T5 in (I apologize for the poor quality pics, they were lifted from the video I linked below)

We drove to Key West for the weekend in my 323GTX . We got married that Monday at the court house. I told the ladies in the office that we had met at the Hogsbreath on Friday night.
I taught her to drive a manual transmission on the way home from the Keys.
My wife and I rolled out of our wedding in my parents' minivan. A 12 year old rusty Dodge.
We got married and had our reception at the same venue, and by the time it was time to go home, it was me, my new wife, my folks, one her bridesmaids and her bridesmaid's husband and two of our friends that we found urinating in public in the middle of a snowstorm and didnt know where the hotel was.
The next morning we left the hotel in my lifted Superduty, which was pretty cool and practical for the foot of snow we got that night.
Had we done something in nice weather I would have drove the Viper, but...Wisconsin.
When my brother got married he owned a 1963 Oldsmobile F-85. About a decade later I was walking through a junkyard, and there sat his old car. I could tell it was the same one since there was still some rice embedded in the carpet.

I was big into Fiats at the time and knew everyone in the club. I really wanted to use a friend's 1959 Multipla. How many Italians used these in weddings? (this may be the exact car)
The wife-to-be was not impressed. So, that didn't happen.
One of my customers owned a body shop that used to specialize in Rolls-Royce rebuilds. He had one of his own, so I asked if he would cart us from the church to the reception. He agreed, and wound up doing it gratis.
(no comments about the 'stache. It was 1992)
