Well I have Parkinson dieses......................

You are all great guys and I not looking for a pity party. I am just looking for someone how could give some information off the cuff. I already cannot drive, imagine your wife having to drive you wherever you need to go. So much for that M3 track car that I just finished. So again no pity party, just some useful information or some of that funny E36 M3.

I'm afraid I have no knowledge or advice but keep up the positive attitude and hang in there. And never feel afraid to reach out to the community here if there's anything we could do.

Sorry to hear this. I have nothing to offer. My paternal grandmothers family had several people that had Parkinson's. It's always been in the back of my mind.

Well, I know a tad bit about it. OK, maybe more than just a tad.

1. Find a neurologist who more or less specializes in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease.
2. Said neurologist will prescribe you "magic pills."
3. Take "magic pills" very sparingly, as the "magic" only lasts so long, and once the "magic" is gone, more pills won't bring it back.
4. Once the "magic pills" no longer work, there are surgical treatments that will. I might know some people that can fix that. Or, as with virtually all surgeries, make you not as berkeleyed up as you were before the surgery.

Congratulations! You will now be able to win jitterbug dance contests just standing there, and mix perfect martinis for 007. ,

Don't stop doing what you love, even if it's in a different capacity. I don't have experience with Parkinsons, but my father has been battling ALS for 6 years and I'm waist it deep in my own medical battles. Your outlook is inspiring, more positive then mine a good portion of the time, don't ever loose that and don't allow your illness to define you and what you're able and capable of enjoying.

Also, share what you love with someone with less experience, knowledge, background in it. I'm fortunate enough to work in a field that I love, and have a young intern that I try to get into the office at least twice a week to teach and share experiences with. I'm not able to drive either, so getting transportation in can be difficult, but it keeps me going, and he seems to embrace soaking up whatever insight I can provide, I definitely get more out of the exchanges though as I feel human again during them.

The Doc is right find a specialist. I had a friend that was able to control it for quite a while.

Really hate to hear this. My father was diagnosed with Parkinsons, I don't have much advice to offer because he had other serious conditions that took him before the it could take control.

I haven't been keeping up with the build thread but I'm glad to hear you finished the build.

My step mother has Parkinson's and I'll reitterate the advice: get to a respected specialist. Like the very best specialist in your entire region, it can make a world of difference.

I'm Sorry man. But yes, keep the positive attitude. It'll help you and your family.

Don't know mush about Parkinsons but Micheal J Fox has it and it has not slowed him down much. He did a commercial for the 2010 winter Olympics where he was ice skating and I saw it quite a few times and there was no sign of the disease. He is still acting as well I think.

My best friend has dealt with it for about six years now. Progression of the disease has been slow and he is still doing quite well and enjoying life. I can state from experience that aging is all about adjustment, whether it is complicated by medical challenges (and it eventually is) or not.

I was lucky enough to finish the e46 and had a shake down day at Road A. So it is 100% ready to go sitting in the garage with a cover on it. I will post the finished pictures as soon as the temp drops below 3 digits.

There are 8 Parkinson clinics in the US, lucky I live about 30 min away from one and have a appointment with the director on 08.24. I have already been through Neurologist tests and now he says he can do nothing else and referred to the clinic. It hits you when people start saying they aren't riding with you. Sad part is when you realize you don't want to ride with yourself. thanks for all the positive messages.

Keep your head up, you still many more outstanding years left to do anything you set your heart towards, and look at it this way, if someone is acting up and being a general dickbag you can easily slap the E36 M3 out of them and sorta get away with it.

there is some REALLY cool stuff coming down the line in drugs in the next 5 short years, as well as some REALLY cool diagnostic stuff that may be able to tell the difference between multiple types of parkinsons.

Your primary job is keeping your body healthy and strong in the mean time until these are developed~~

That's never good, but as mentioned, with any luck the advancements in treatment will be moving faster than you decline.
