Well, that's unexpected

I've been meaning to pick up a small TV box to ship door panels in for a few weeks.. finally found one down the street from me last night and picked it up!

Got it home and realized there was art inside the taped up box??

Actually, artist proofs from a regarded artist (Stephen goodfellow) in his area of micropointillism, according to Google. And he spent a lot of years here in Detroit. Really didn't expect to find that..

I sold the door panels this morning so already have the box packed - but who'da thunk this would be the box I grab??

I wonder if the box was left there for somebody to pick up.

I would agree, except that last night was trash night and the box was between trash and recycling bins on the city easement vs back up in their yard, which is typically agreed on safe zone for non-trash pickups haha.

I do think contacting the artist and/or Detroit Institute of Arts will be my next move!
