A good buddy of mine died last weekend in a car accident. His funeral was today. I'm still a bit in shock about it all. He was 26. Not really sure what this post is about/for, but just feel like I needed to get it out there. I'm gonna miss this guy. Haven't seen him in about 5 years before today. He called me around noon last Saturday to come check out the tires I got from gearheadotaku after he got off work. He hit a semi leaving the Jeep plant around 2:35pm. Sucks. I've never had a friend die before. Been feeling weird all week, but I don't think it's really hit me yet that he's gone.

sorry for your loss.
Unfortunately I've lost too many friends taken too young and know how it feels.

Same here, it never gets easier.
Only met Joe briefly a couple times at NWOR events a couple years back, but seemed like a really good guy.
I had just pulled into the parking lot at work about 5 minutes before the accident. As soon as I saw the car, I knew who it was.
Truly sad, and sorry about the loss of your friend.

Man, I am sorry to hear that. It sucks when somebody good goes too soon. My condolences.
Terribly sorry for your loss, its never good to lose a friend like that, no matter the age.
Sorry to hear about this brother. I lost my best friend in 2009, still talk to him every day just about. Ask him to watch over me, my family, etc. Helps me deal. I sure hope you don't blame yourself for his death as he was coming over to check stuff out. If you are, stop it right now. That will not help anyone. Just remember the good times, remember the laughs, forget the drama. When it hits, it will suck. We are all here for you man.

Here too. I'm sorry for your loss.
How true that it never gets easier. A few years ago a GF from high school died. I hadn't seen her for ~35 years but it still affected me. I guess that's because I'll always think of her as early 20's and full of life, not early 50's and dead.
