Kind look like this? Coincidence?

So my question is, what is that?

On a side note, I'm loving Westworld.

I have no idea what that thing is. Nor do I know what Westworld is.

I'm getting that feeling again like everyone knows something I don't...

Google image search says that is the Max IV. "MAX IV is the next-generation synchrotron radiation facility in Lund, Sweden."

Westworld I haven't seen.

So, coincidence? No clue.

HBO TV Show

For those not in the know, Westworld is an HBO show. The setting of the show is that there is an entertainment center known as "Westworld" where wealthy patrons go to act out their every fantasy. The "Residents" of Westworld are not human, but so close that in order to fulfill the clients fantasies (rape and murder being a popular attraction) they must be indistinguishable from sentient beings and not in on the joke.

Of course E36 M3 starts to happen. One of the clues is a map or maze that is printed inside of the skull of the artificial host.

Great show! That's the extent of my input lol.

And it's based on the 1973 film.

I'm loving it so far.

Saw the original '73 film. It and Andromeda Strain were two of my favorite movies ever, both by Michael Crichton. Bet you whippersnappers didn't know he did anything before the Jurassic Park, stuff, eh?

The new series is pretty cool, too.

I didn't realize there was a movie, but so far the show definitely has my interest piqued. At least early in this first season, its' apparent themes are obviously more relevant now that we're much closer to actual AI.

I have a question they haven't addressed yet - what's stopping the guests from inadvertently murdering each other? I know that the guns don't seem to work on them, but there's plenty of other ways to go...
