What 360 games?

Hey guys I just picked up a Xbox 360 and Fallout 3 this afternoon.

Knowing that we have a few gamers on here what titles should I be looking for? What are some good racing games for the 360? I just picked up the Arcade system, I can't see paying much more than that for a game console. I was getting a little bored with the offerings on the Wii and wanted a bit more action.

Well, the whole Halo line is obvious. And Forza 2 is supposed to be a kick-ass racing game.

Forza 2 - sim like

DiRT - arcade like

PGR4 - arcade like

Grand Theft Auto 4 has really fun online races with weapons and whatnot

By the way, you're gonna need a hard drive.

If you like first person shooters, pick up The Orange Box.

Halo 3 is not a bad game, but it's way overrated. I've yet to play Call of Duty 4, but hear it's great. Orange Box is the E36 M3 though cause it contains Halflife 2, Episodes 1 and 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. Five games on one disc that should be 30 bucks or lower at most popular stores.

CoD 4 is awesome. Halo 3 is also damn fun. As is Forza 2. Buy them all.

Forza 2 is awesome! Unfortunately my Xbox kicked the bucket last week and I had to send it in, so in the meantime I'm playing GT3 on PS2.

I'm a B Class racer/tuner in Forza as I find that class has the best mix of slow/fast cars and best competition, and most of the people I race with are strict B class racers.

As far as the orange box goes, it's much better on PC, but worth renting for Xbox. CoD4 is probably the most played Xbox live game right now, beating out Halo 3 and Gears of War.

ok DIRT looks really cool gonna have to order a few games here soon I think. Used copies of Forza 2 are dirt cheap on EB Games so I'll pick that up as well.

This list may repeat what some have already said. Another thing to keep in mind, if you didn't own an Xbox there are some bitchin' xbox games to pick up to that are stupid cheap:

Whole Colin McRae series, Whole Halo series, Dead Space, Doom 3, Half Life 2, HLF 2 Episodes 1/2 (basically the orange box, comes with Portal!), Fable 2, Gears of War, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Command and Conquer 3 (need hi-rez tv to see ANYTHING on this game though), Crackdown was cool, Mass Effect (reminded me of Knights of the Old Republic, SUPRISE its made by the same people), Too Human,

RPG-wise Enchanted Arms was decent (not a bad story line, not great though) Lost Odessy (great game!)

There ya go, only about $500 in games there. Go knock yourself out!

I know that we are talking X-box here, but I am getting a PS3 for christmas, and the first thing I am going to buy is DiRT.... it is awesome!

then I will buy F1 championship edition... ha ha X-box owners!

DiRT is a rocking game. So is GRID.

I can't wait for the new F1 to come out. The old one is good but a bit bland and based on the 2006 season I think.

CodeMasters, (the people behind the Colin McRae series), now have the license to produce future F1 games. I'm stoked.

Forza 2 is amazing, they have a "Platinum" edition out that comes with all the tracks and extra cars you had to pay to download, it's like $30 go pick that up.

I loved the DIRT demo, but I am still waiting for it to go down in price and the Need For Speeds are always great.

Last I checked, www.newegg.com had Dirt for 30 bucks. It would seem that the game has been discontinued as it was not commercially successful, so don't wait too long for it to drop in price.

Picked up Forza 2 Platinum at Wallyworld today. All I have to say is playing racing games on the Wii has killed my ability to play with regular controlers, I keep wanting to "turn" the controller to turn the cars

Guess I just need to practice I love the wide selection of cars, seems like just about anything and everything I would want to drive.

Grid is an awesome racing game, killer graphics and crashes, smart AI. Not a sim though, i'd call it a cross between the need for speed series and Forza.

Call of Duty 4 is the best shooter ever made (and i dont like shooters!)

The Orange Box is a must have.

Fable 2, great action/adventure game, a tad short though.

If you like Fallout, check out Oblivion.

For RPGs check out Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia.

That should keep you busy for a bit.

Yeah one thing I'm really liking about Fall out and Forza is you can actually pick them up and play for a little bit then get back to work. Well that is if you can pull yourself away.

I always hear Gran Turismo fan boys talk about how many more cars GT has over Forza, but if you go back and play GT3 you'll see that half of the cars you get as prize cars for finishing events are Concept cars, not fun at all.

Check out the Forza forums for free tunes or tips on tunning your cars. It really makes a HUGE difference. You can build two exact cars with the same exact parts but I bet you the tuned car will beat the non-tuned car every time. You can tune tire pressures, gear ratios, springs, damping, aero, brake balance/pressure, differential settings/torque split, sway bars and a few other things I'm forgetting to mention.

Circuit City is selling The Orange Box for 360 and PS3 for 15 bucks. Anyone who does not already own this game should pick it up. Portal itself is worth 15 bucks. Each individual game in the pack is worth 15 bucks. Go buy it now.

Also Lego Star Wars is 15 bucks. I picked it up, but haven't played it, so I can't vouch for it. But critics say it's fun.

My X-Box kicked the bucket a few weeks back. I should have it back any day now. Then I'm back onto Forza 2!!!!

Halo 3 was freaking bad-ass, by the way. Overrated, perhaps. But only by people like me who were nuts to buy it to see how the story ended.

you already got the rockingest game out there, Fallout 3 will keep you occupied for quite a while!!!

That game is like electronic crack to me right now. even doing just the main quest will have you for between 50-100 hours. and then you can play it 1000 other different ways too.
