This is something I never would have imagined happening in our capitol.

Wtf?  How do people think that is okay?

Serious question for those that are interested: What is left for those that think there is something foul going on? I'm not saying there is, or it's right, but if you feel you have evidence of foul play, the courts won't hear it, the media won't show it and your elected officials are all ignoring it what actions are there left? From their perspective, the only remaining way they had to fix the wrongs (voting) has been hijacked.

I'm not saying they are right or wrong, just a view of their perspective.

I think that's right. If you believe something and care enough, you say it. If you are ignored, and you still care enough, you escalate. Rinse and repeat. 

Escalations can get to be pretty serious!
