Dorothy, Classless Act and Joyous Wolf last September or so.
Dorothy is a favorite of my wife and we are both huge fans of Joyous Wolf. Classless Act was entertaining, but I wasn't huge on them.
It's sad but we got to see one of the last shows with the original singer of Joyous Wolf, the singer is probably 90 percent of the reason why that band is cool too
On Friday I drove up to Virginia Beach and saw Thursday with Rival Schools and Many Eyes as the openers.
I didnt get much into Many Eyes, and later, learning it was the dude from Every Time I Die, it made sense...Never got into them either.
But first time hearing RS and they were good. Singer/Guitarist looked GENUINELY happy the entire time. I loved that.
Thursday was fantastic. Only complaint is that I really wish that they played Paris In Flames.
One video from it, cant post pics cause they on imgur and Im at work.
Tomorrow night I'm going to Tampa to see Lauren Daigle. It'll be our 4th time seeing her. She is amazing!!
Willie Nelson on February 14. Even at 90, his voice sounds as beautiful as ever.
Sarah Jarosz about two weeks ago.
A few weeks back, a buddy texted me that a local brewery that I really enjoy was having a Stoner Rock show. I couldn't say no.
Two of the bands were really great: Sundrifter and Bone Church. The pic above is Bone Church, but I liked Sundrifter more. Fans of bands like Kyuss, Nebula, and Orange Goblin should check out both.
Oh and Widowmaker Brewing was the place. Everything they make is incredible.
Last weekend was Porno for Pyros and the weekend before that was Matthew sweet. I have two popular mid size venues within walking distance and a GF that loves live music shows so we go pretty often. Usually at least 1 show a month. It's a lot of fun.
This summer is going to be Metallica & 5 finger death punch in MSP and Green Day & Rancid in KC and what ever we find locally for shows.

Our Lady Peace, fall of 2017. Gotta be honest, don't really love live music.

12/21/23, Regrettes farewell show at the Fonda in Hollywood.
The bluegrass band that my wife plays in was practicing in my living room last night. Does that count?
I really enjoyed Eric Johnson at the Cactus Theater in Lubbock. He and the original band played the full Ah Via Musicom album followed by a lot more great tunes. Back in 2018 sadly
I saw Garbage last summer at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati. Shirley Manson still has some pipes! Also saw The offspring near the same time, and at the same place. Also a phenomenal show!

We saw Garbage a few years ago co-headlining with Blondie and, yes, she’s still got it. Killer show all around.
Against all authority, mustard plug, and the pie tasters in Gainesville rock city of all places. Awesome show, felt like it was 1996 again.
Either Postmodern Jukebox (my pick) or Mumford and Sons (wife's pick) I can't recall as its been a while since I bought tickets to a show. My next show is coming up however, Greta van Fleet.
In reply to Will :
I am jealous. I think I had other stuff going on near the time of their last Chicago show. I was free at the specific time, there were just too many things in a single week. I was not expecting them to call it quits.
I went to a hot dog stand the other night. They had a guy with a guitar off in the corner. He wasn't great, but he was decent. It almost made up for the nasty hot dogs.

Saw the Dollyrots (for the 9th time) on Tuesday at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, KY.
th
Alestorm is our next show in a couple weeks, I'm excited!
I first saw Kim Mitchell in Max Webster at my high school in grade 9, then a bunch of times through 80's. He's 70 now and I wanted to see him one more time. I did that last Canada Day when he played locally.
We're seeing Big sugar next Wednesday. The venue is supposed top notch so I'm really looking forward to it.
Coming up: Circle Jerks and Descendents.

PMJ is a great show. Saw them in SF at the Orpheum six years ago when Haley was still performing with them. Her cover of Radiohead's Creep was incandescent!
Last live show for me was Joe Satriani at the Fox Theatre in Oakland 2022. Great show. We bought the 150 buck tickets which gave about 40 of us an audience with him so we could ask questions and E36 M3. It was pretty cool.
Cowboy Mouth sometime last summer at a bar in Columbia, SC. Went back there and spent the weekend with a buddy who was also a fan and knew CM was a fave of my wife (RIP) and I. I don't much like crowds and tolerate them less since SWMBO passed away, so between that and some virus a few years back I've not attended many live shows.
Yesterday... Quincy Florida's "Porchfest".
19 very different groups spread out during the afternoon on 12 different porches downtown. Rock, folk, Reggie, Jazz, Zydeco, Ukelele, Country, Funk, Latin, Salsa.
