It's a down Friday night for us. Son Jason and DIL Andrea went to a Dave Matthews concert. We brought the granddaughters to a Girl Scout overnight, and we have beagle pup Charlie for the night. Paul Cardall seems to keep an overactive beagle calmer. But he commandeered my favorite chair. He can have it:
I'm listening to From the Screen to Your Stereo,
a collection of movie music covers by New Found Glory, who are one of my favorite bands. There are three volumes, with a total of 25 tracks. It's pretty good stuff.
I probably hadn't heard this song in over 40 years, so long I'd forgotten all about it, and the oldies station played it last weekend.

It's German. This is a regional band based in Cologne, very popular in the eighties and nineties. They could've done more international work, but they only spoke German. But nevertheless, I like their early work like this. Lots of energy in the audience.
Everyone's talking about the Stranger Things -> Kate Bush pipeline, but my takeaway from watching the new season was the reminder that I enjoy Metallica, so I'm running up that hill today, so to speak.

The Metallica bit was epic. Bonus points for Siouxsie & the Banshees in the closing credits.
Love her vocals but also love Jerry Miller on guitar. He's an old-timer, originally with Moby Grape many years ago. Annie and I have seen her and Jerry perform live several times in Collinsville, CT.
