In reply to NOT A TA :
No keys...performed as a trio. It was a tremendous show. I love his new material too. He makes me want to play music like few others people do. Really good stuff.
In reply to NOT A TA :
Good to know there is another "appreciator" here.
I think David Wallens has experienced him a few times as well. When Davy was a kid, he amazed me. 15 years on, he just blows my mind with how he has subtly risen to new levels. And a good human to boot.
In reply to Duke :
I'm a big fan of mr. Wilson. Even bigger fan of Gavin Harrison. Which leads me to tonight's choice: the most recent Pineapple Thief.
Im not much of a drummer, but watching this guy is mesmerizing:
one more because I can:
In reply to barefootcyborg5000 :
Yeah, I get lost in the layered melodies, and the realize, "Holy smokes, the percussion on this is amazing!"
In reply to Duke :
Truth.
There is still some being made, but you won't hear it on the radio and it's going to take some digging to find it.

Absolutely!
Neopsychedelia from Chile. SO MUCH good music is coming out of South America these days.
[edit] Linked a different version. Hopefully this one doesn't have the issue.

That is so awesome that they did the iconic photo on McLemore in front of Stax Studios. I used to live in Memphis, if you're ever there the Stax museum is a must-visit.
Arcade Fire's WE. First time in a long time that I've bought an album and like almost every song. It also seems to be written as an album so it flows from one song to the next. I've had this song stuck in my head for the last couple days.
Listening to Paolo Conte's station on Pandora and "doing a little wine tasting" on my deck. In addition to Paolo Conte, who happens to be very cool by himself, his station has a lot of other cool international vintage and contemporary jazz, which I like. Cheers!
