I don't know how to use either if those things.

NO. My work here is done
https://twitter.com/thisismycarblog - Mostly car and work stuff. Kind of like if Dilbert enjoyed autocrossing.
http://instagram.com/nervousdog# - I don't post much on here.

Yes, but it has a stupid operator.
So after reading three pages of comments and leaving out the 5 or six that essentially just say no, I have not been at all convinced to try either twitter or instagram out. I really don't care what you ate or cooked or what your dog looks like, and I don't care to share what I eat with the entire planet. Sorry, but these things are just not for me.
To the people that keep saying they don't care about what food I'm eating, get over it. Instagram is much more than that. Especially following this group of people.

Find a 12-year-old to help you.

I initially had this attitude toward twitter and there IS plenty of that, but depending on who you follow, it's a helluva source for information.
I don't follow people who constantly post their every thought/action. You wouldn't have to, either. Twitter is what you make of it. Lots of legitimately interesting people/organizations out there that allow you to have an inside look into their doings.
Facebook is a LOT more offensive/annoying with that type of stuff (oversharing).
I think I figured out how to make an account
