One of my neighbors has an EVO X on fat black rims, lowered stance, subtle wing. Not the car above, but it has the same effect. Yummy. It sounds awesome too. I need to get over my aversion to stealing cars.

My neighbor at my old house had a black Ferrari 328 daily driver. This is in a somewhat working class neighborhood, mind you. That car clearly warranted coveting and I could hear it come home from work every day. Motor noise bordered on pornographic.

EVO X, yeah, it's uber cool today, but in 20 year's it'll be a crappy old Mitsubishi with some kind of performance package no one remembers that makes the parts hard to find. (Think of it that way if it helps you deal with your larsenistic tendencies.)

Meh, it's an X. Too heavy, too ugly.... not what an Evo should be. Does that help?

Speaking of that dual clutch transmission, do you have any idea the lengths you have to go through to keep them from overheating after only a lap or two on a road course?

http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/articletype/articleview/articleid/2108/project-evo-x-keeping-the-engine-oil-and-sst-tranny-cool.aspx

"When driven on the track the transmission will overheat and put the car into limp home mode limiting its speed until the temperature drops. It does this in as little as two laps."

There, now you don't want to steal it anymore, right?

I've been coveting a neighbors ass lately, so an Evo doesn't seem that bad to me.

That might creep him out if he were on this board...

It's a 22 year old ass, so I can't help myself. And given the amount of weird E36 M3 she says when we're drinking I doubt she'd be too creeped out.

Yeah, I've coveted my neighbor's wife a bit. Mid-40's, great legs, in very good shape.

He used to race SCCA GT1 back in the early 90's--had a sweet 240z.

Nearest automotive thing that I'd even be close to coveting is a 1966 T Bird, restored nicely. Honestly, I have probably the most unusual car in the n'hood. EDIT: Almost forgot, there is a really nice '83 RX7 in that steel blue metallic that travels my street once a week or so. Now THAT one I could covet. The motorcycles are overwhelmingly Harleys of the type that have fat payment books and saddlebags or apehangers. There's a couple sportbikes, nothing to get worked up about.

All my female neighbors are either carrying three little booger dispensers with them or are at the point where I'd rather have their baked goods than anything else. So I guess I'm safe from the sin of female coveting for the foreseeable future.

At my old house the guy next door had a Sunbeam with the V8 engine - British Racing Green. It was loud and I loved the sound.

I lived close to the headquarters of a very successful local business. The owners summer car was a f430 scud and he would always rip on it going to work. Needless to say I would stand in the garage fapping aimlessly as he hammered by.

His rainy day car was a c63 AMG and his winter ride was a cayenne turbo S. Bastard.

I can't think of anything belonging to any of my neighbours that I'd covet. But I just got back from Mosport where I coveted a couple of the track guys, ogled an instructor and drooled over a couple of well-known drivers, does that count?

Growing up, my neighbor owned his own body shop. He had a 1969 GTO Judge in the requisite Carousel Red that sounded like the end of the world when he started it up. I still remember my window shaking when he left for work at about 6AM... He also had a purple C4 'vette but it was a purple C4 'vette...

One neighbor has a nice little Kubota tractor. The guy across the street has his own Bobcat. No good cars other than mine on the street though. (only 5 houses). I guess I don't truly covet them, but I do need to get a new lawn mower.
