hiem joint arms for all the things
Aftermarket heads for the Slant Six. The head is the bottleneck. Better breathing for the 225's and warmed-up 170's and 198's would be really good. A little better combustion chamber wouldn't hurt. Aluminum would be a nice option.

If you have some ideas, 3D printing can probably make this a reality with very little upfront cost. I really like this idea.
You could probably do a reasonable hybrid of a gen III GM engine chamber and runner setup on a /6 bore spacing and oil/coolant passages. I am not sure how expensive it would be, and it would obviously require finish machining on valve seats, guides and deck/valve cover surfaces, but this has potential.
I am actually in the process of putting in to AUTOCad a part for 944s that is now NLA. Going to bribe a friend with a five axis mill to make prototypes. Hope to have them complete by the fall.
I would make a cell phone jammer that blocks the signal from the dash to the drivers head rest and the drivers door to the dome light.
A mid engine manual transaxle with a standard Chevy bolt pattern and good ratios good for 600hp or so.
And front hubs for an Opel drilled for 5x4.5" and with a flange for cheap stock car rotors.

How about for an NC? I had an '07 Sport (5 speed) and now have an '06 GT (6 speed) and the most frustrating thing with it is that the final gear is almost exactly the same.

So then you'll have berkeleytards leaning way over, holding their phones over the passenger's seat to text-and-drive

You might be on to something here. If, as parent I could have a cell phone jammer installed in the car that prevented any calls from withing the car, I would buy one. I would of course want an override so that MY call went though to the little porch monkey should I need to communicate.

Wait until you have kids that drive...or when they are riding with their friends. No matter what rules you put in place, they will try to get around them. Teenage human nature.
I'm just trying to eliminate one of the factors that has caused a lot of heartache.

When I was a teenager, I tried texting-and-driving once, in slow-moving traffic, back when some people still had cell phones that couldn't text. About 5 seconds later, I said to myself "nope, this requires me to look away from the road way too much" and that was the end of that.
What do I win for being inhumanly smart?

A lot of non-Americans think it's synonymous with bum/slacker and don't realize it has...connotations...
dankspeed wrote: In reply to Trans_Maro: Interesting. I never knew the trans-am came with a turbo motor.
It came with two different turbo engines! The carbureted draw through 301 V8, and the '89 Turbo T/A with more or less a Grand National engine with FWD heads so it could clear the strut towers.
I've seen a GN engine in a 4th-gen Firebird. Clearance was tight. I was surprised that he didn't start with the Series II 3800 since that is (IMO) a stronger engine block to start with, but then things get fiddly due to deck height differences.
NOHOME wrote: some device to spoof the TPS system. Anyone who has to run winter tires would buy it.
That exists, it's called not being a cheapskate and put sensors in your winter set. You can even get clonable sensors and clone your existing sensors so you don't even need to do a relearn.
This isn't even a problem anymore, it's just the way things are done. No sense cheaping out on $60 sensors when you're already buying $200-300 a pop tires that only last a couple years.
